Best way to straighten rails?

I have 162 apex rails and would like to get rid of the tip up. Is this something that can be easily done or should I just buy new rails?

The bottom side is a curve so not sure if they can use a press to straighten that part. I suppose you could cut it straight but you would lose some length off the end.

I would say it would be more work then it is worth

I know of a guy that cut the rails at the tip up and then welded them straight. They just broke off right away. not worth trying.
just buy a new set.

i have bent them straight in a press and had no trouble with future bending/breaking. BUT.....if you are worried get a set of ice age rails they are nice.

Ive straightened Apex rails but that was because I bent them jumping. I just put them back to stock and then added a couple extra cross shafts. Worked fine. I dont think I would take a normal rail and try to take the "tip up" out of it. Eric

Thanks guys. Im going to put on some 8 inch wheels for now and when i get a new skid Ill get new rails.
