Best way to remove the driveshaft coupler from the chain case

What is the best way to remove the quick couple drive shaft piece from the chain case? I want to remove it to install a 21/22 solid drive axle. It is press fit into the bearing in the chain case. Thanks

I am planning to do this soon, is it obvious which way to pop it out? is it pressed in from the outside or from the inside?
