Although I have all of my avalanche beacon needs currently met.......this is a GREAT DEAL for anyone in the market. I would definitely take him up on this offer.

Just a side note. The M2 would require practice (all beacons should require practice). It is both analog and digital. The full digital beacons are much easier to use. These work great with practice. If you plan on just buying and not practicing a whole lot then this is not the beacon for you. Do your friends a favor and buy a full digital. If you are interested in a full digital I can order the D3 for $290. The regular retail is $320.

I personally have 2 of the d3's.
