Apex head gasket? Steam from exhaust and coolant smell.

Ok guys. I'm new to snowmobiling and especially 4 stroke sleds. Just bought a 2006 Apex mountain and notice it really steams from the exhaust when warming up. Is this normal? I haven't ran it enough to tell if it's burning through coolant. I'm thinking it's more than likely the head gaskets and coolant I'm burning but thought I would throw it out there to see if this is a common issue, normal, or indicative of a problem I need to tear down and fix before I ride too much.

If it is a head gasket issue any advice on repair time, cost, and manual download would be very helpful. I plan on fixing myself.

Ok, so I started my FZ-6 yesterday and noticed the same steam coming from the exhaust for the first 5 minutes or so as it warmed up. I guess I'll just watch the coolant levels and see if it's burning through the antifreeze before I worry too much about it.

if the sled is not boosted then head gasket failure is pretty much none existent with the apex.all the 4s steam on first start up till the motor warms up.
