Snow is fabulous up here on the Grand Mesa! The powder is amazing and will only be getting better! Skyway snow marker is at 5 feet and there is another storm coming in with a projected 2 feet!

Yea, the NOAA forecasts are usually on the conservative side...

Usually good real world forecast, at least in the CA section for us here in the Sierras.... But I've been following the CO section for my trip to the Mesa in a couple weeks. Site is mostly skier-orientated, but I'll take good news about snow from anywhere. He's looking at the 8th-9th for the next round.... Hope so, I get to CO on the 10th!!

Joel with opensnow is the best hands down for Co.....

However, with this storm he drastically under predicted which is abnormal for him.

When is too much of a good thing too much? Ha! I have a group of relatives coming in on the 9th, all newbies. Since right now there is just a ton of fresh on the Mesa, another 2 feet will really mess them up! Too bad for them! It's a good thing I don't mind getting people unstuck.

Headed up tomorrow for two days of riding! Yee Hah! I can't wait! I talked to a couple of guys at the gas station yesterday that had been on top all day - said they found upwards of 3 1/2 ft of powder in places! Woo hoo! Time to get stuck!

Superbowl Sunday!

Cloudy weather but still really nice out. High is 30 degrees. So is still in good condition for riding! So if your up on the Mesa today stop into Alexander Lake Lodge for nachos and 2 dollar Coors original during the superbowl!

Winter storm warning for the grand mesa which means snow and even more snow for the next few days! perfect to come up and ride! People already parked and riding taking advantage of the early snowfall

It's snowing again! Supopose to be 6 to 10 inches tonight and a total of 20 to 24 inches in the next couple of days!

we've got about 10 inches so far but its still snowing a little an suppose to snow a lot tonight hopefully. we'll have full size pizzas, pulled pork sandwiches and pumpkin pie!
