? about atacc

Hi I am looking at putting on atacc on my 01 800. Holtzmans web site says not to put it on the 01 and 02 sled.I have talked to them and they told me the reason was do to an issue with it coming back to idle,it would hang an not return to idle.Just wondering if anyone has used it and been succesful with it. The motor has turbo al porting,v-force reeds,kelseys head with 14 to 1 at 1900 ft, thing can,carbs have polaris hooded needle jet with polaris needle, stock air box and stock pipe. The sled runs very well here at home but Ilike to go arrow head in wyoming now an then. Original dpm never worked so its gone. I am also looking for the original instructions for the atacc that has the pics and instuctions for drilling the stock dpm hook ups for the attac system.

HOLTZMAN ATAAC on an 2001 and 2002 POLARIS EDGE

I had the Holtzmann ATAAC On (2) of my own personal sleds

1) 2002 EDGE-X 800 with bolt-ons, ran it for 6400 miles, usually ride the U.P. trailer-ed out to Yellowstone 3x

2) 2001 EDGE-X 600 WITH HSP head, otherwise stock, trailer-ed it to Yellowstone 3x

It worked great, I don't/can't see what the issue could possibly be with the 01 and 02??????????

Also installed it on my bud's 2003 XC 800, And another bud's 2002 XC 800, worked excellent, no problems at all.

Go ahead and install it. If it hangs at idle just give her a little choke and it will come right back down. No big deal. Otherwise you can tune your fuel screws as needed so that it will idle down.
 
I have a 1998 MXZ 670, with the ATACC. I absolutly love it! sled is crisp at any temperature! I do have one questions tho.. I never changed the jets when it was put it, do you need to jet it down? The reason I'm asking is because when I go out to the mountains, it is crisp up to 10,500 or so, but once I get above that it seems to get boggy... anyones thoughts? thanks.

If you installed the ATAAC without adjusting the little mini .050" allen screw, just jet it for minus 20 @ your "base" elevation per instructions

running atacc on 02 rmk 800 right now. once tuned it could just as well be efi. best $225 mod i have seen!
