Anyone done this, I know the 800 HO motors have seemed to hold together pretty well for flat land guys wondering if anyone has tried it, wondering if the grooved pistons help durability???

I wondered the same thing. I first saw the pistons when my dealer had an H.O. motor in pieces preparing it for a racer. I asked several times if they were dimensionally the same as the pistons in the Pro motor. I did not get a conclusive answer. At the time it didn't matter since there weren't any pistons available to purchase. I presume that has changed by now. It doesn't matter to me too much anymore either since I am buying a 16 Axys Pro. I will have the whole H.O. motor to play with. :)

Is there anything better about them besides the grooves? Are they lighter? Stronger?
