2024 Lynx RE Engine Brake

Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to overcome this horrible engine brake.

Yesterday was my first ride and I couldn’t stand up. Every time I let go of the throttle, I would fly over the hood lol. Is this normal?

Is it because the engine is tight or does it need clutching?

Yikes I can’t, I’m in California. I ride from 7,500’ to 9,000’.

I haven’t ridden a two stroke since 2001. I switched over from a Yamaha Nytro Impulse turbo.

Okay, I found out what was wrong.

I loosened both track shocks and track. No more engine brake. I can finally stand up whooo hoooo.

We just need more ****ing snow!!!

My 2024 did the same thing to me the other day on the trail. Let off and about flew over the bars as it started tank slappin'.. No idea what its deal is. My track seems too tight for one thing.

I have almost 2 inches of sag at 10 pounds. Do you think that’s good enough or can I loosen it some more?

That’s alright to loose. I believe it’s supposed be be 1.5 inches doing what you are doing.

Thanks, that’s what I thought. I would like to get the track as loose as possible without ratcheting.
