I've been on a 155 for 3 years and have improved 300% in riding. I've only been on a sled for 4.5 years so...We ride 90% backcountry in New England and chase the deepest snow we can. I went to Burandt's this year and got to ride a 163 for 2 days. It behaved on the trails like a 155 which allows me to get out to the backcountry and at 6ft 1" 230 with gear I tossed it around very easily. I've got a few weeks to decide. Thougths??

Couldn't agree more...I've seen guys do amazing things on 146's this year. I got into the sport later in life and my skills have greatly improved from 43-45 yrs old. But I don't think I'll be making those jumps from 45-50. I plan to travel far to the best snow we can find over the next 5 years. Canada, West...and take the sled with me.

i ride a 163 in the flats. i find it no different than a 144 or 155 around home other than it doesnt wheelie as much. but does make up the difference when im able to make it out west.
