With the 2014/15 riding reason approaching we wanted to inform the snowmobile community of the turbo kits and electronic options we are offering this season for the XM Etec 600 and 800’s. With the release of the new T3 package we but some extra effort into developing some new technology for this application. I will do a simple break down of what we have to offer.

Standard Etec Turbo Kit:
Gt2860 kPa Ball Bearing Turbo
Internal Wastegate Housing
Full silicone intake and air box
Complete Turbo Clutching
AFR and Boost Gauge
Dobeck Fuel Controller
More:
This standard kit is a great entry level turbo kit, don’t let the price fool you, we have been running this kits for years, it creates great power and is very user friendly. The kit is bolt on and is 100% complete ready to go out of the box. The kit comes set at 5psi and can easily be turned up to 12 psi of boost.

External Etec Turbo Kit:
Gt2860 kPa Ball Bearing Turbo
External 40mm Wastegate and Stainless Steel V Band Turbine Housing
Full silicone intake and air box
Complete Turbo Clutching
AFR and Boost Gauge
Dobeck Fuel Controller
More:
The external kit was designed for the more aggressive terrain rider, the use of an external wastegate allows more precise boost control. The boost is more consistent and wont spike during aggressive throttle movement. Utilizing the V Band Turbine housing allows for more HP per psi of boost and faster turbo response due to the better flow and housing characteristics. This kit comes preset at 7 psi of boost and can be lowered and turned up by adjustment the waste gate actuator. Pair this kit with our new secondary ecu and have one of the most advanced Etec turbo kits currently on the market.

Upgrades:
kPa Self Lubricated Turbocharger ( eliminates the oil tank and pump, drops 4lbs off the turbo kit.)

Standalone Fuel Injection Controller: We have a new Secondary ECU this season for the ETEC application. This new box allows precise fuel adjustments from various inputs from the engine including, RPM, Throttle Position, Manifold Pressure, Barometric Pressue, Intake Air Temperature, and O2. We have auto tuning available and only requires a 5 volt input from your Wideband of choice. This ecu comes prewired with all oem connections, so theres no cutting and splicing wires. Comes mapped and ready for your Silber Turbo Kit.
If you currently own a different turbo kit and are looking for a ECU that will allow you to tune your snowmobile please contact us. This ecu will work with any turbo kit available for the Ski Doo Etec.

For more information regarding any of our products feel free to contact us any time.

Be sure to check us out at the Puyallup snow show. We will have plenty of items on display. Don't miss the 600 ETEC on display at the Ice Age booth. :face-icon-small-win

Looks like some solid updates, I assume the stock ecu runs the gauges and things like that. Does the secondary ecu adjust all the time or only under boost? Any video of an Xm running new ecu ?

Silber raising the bar for the XM kits!! very stoked to get out and ride mine!

ECU just runs the aux injectors on boost.

We hope to have some videos out working with one as soon as we get some snow to show it off on.

Thank you Silber,

Summer project is almost done.

hahaha, having some issues with the OEM sled, so i have been busy working on ironing those out.

first brand new sled I have ever bought and of course even thats gonna give me fits.

just my luck

Kit has all the goodies and fits together super well with the oem sled. its a tight fit being the etec is rather crowded with electronics and fuel tank coming over the intake.

and if anyone was curious why my sled doesn't run right now. not turbo kit, not controller, but instead the stock fuel pump is only giving me 7 psi, supposed to be 44. no wonder it leans out and dies at 7psi of boost. no fuel comes out the extra injectors! warranty time.

Anyone running this yet this year? Reviews?

i'm running the base kit with reservoir on my 15 freeride. I'm happy with it so far, makes a smooth awesome power and the guys at silber are incredibly helpful. still debating if I want to switch from the dobec to the new controller box when it's released, once you understand how to use the dobec it's nice to be able to tune the way you want it between trail and off trail.

So far have about 40 miles on it, and that's running in the Midwest at low elevation

will do but it will be a month or two before I get out west. Contact Jim or Justin at Silber if you want to, if I remember right they were just out there doing some testing on the new T3's. You can also contact Boston Racing, they are very knowledgeable about the Silber Kits as well.

Biggest reason I went with this kit is that when I sell the sled and take the kit off, there's no major modification to the sled itself, you can basically take it back to stock in a couple hours. It's very easy to install once you understand how everything works. If you end up with one look under the ski doo turbo forum and I have a thread on there called 15 freeride build progress or something like that. There's some decent pictures of the kit going in. Also in the comments are some helpful tips on install to make it more efficient for you.
