My 2011 SB Assault 800 is doing some funky electrical stuff. The lights flicker a bit but are bright/ normal at idle. When I rev the sled up as rpm increases the lights get dimmer and dimmer. I unplugged the voltage regulator (above pipe) and the light stays bright all the time when revved a little which I believe eliminates the stator being the problem as the headlight is getting straight stator voltage then. Am I right in assuming the VR is bad? I did unhook the tail light and tested wires for shorts and made no difference running with it unplugged. Any help is greatly appreciated.
