I asked tony Jenkins about that. He said the 850 weight includes everything to make it run as far as electronics and all that goes. But I doubt that's 14 lbs more unless that includes the oil and fuel pumps?

I wasn't doubting your numbers. Mostly curious if maybe they are adding more parts to that weight than what is actually attached to the engine.

I have read somewhere but I do not remember where. I read that the weight of the new motor as displayed on Rotax.com included more components being weighed than components weighed on the 800etec.

Wish I could remember where I read that.

I think the 850 will get lighter as time goes along w the g 4 chassis going on a diet. 850 does have the power!

Im sure the 850 will get lighter too. I dont think the Chassis is the problem anymore.. It seems light, and nimble.. Without the motors in them, it sounds like the doo chassis is actually lighter.. So for 2019-2020 model year they will probably redo the front and rear suspensions totally, and then from there all thats needed is a little weight reduction in the motor, and walah, beast sled.
