1.75 inch Ripsaw - Any good in the Powder?

Would a 146" x 1.75" Ripsaw track be a good crossover track for riding through powder in the mountains and the flatlands? Ideally I would like a Backcountry for my Assault, but, I dont want to change drivers etc...

would the 1.75 ripsaw fit the assault? I think in stock form there are only 3 tracks that fit due to the funky pitch... 1.3 cobra, stock and the 2.4 inch.

It should work the equivalent of a 1.5" in the powder. Perhaps slightly better than the cobra, but more durable and better in the hard pack.

There is also the 1.75" ripsaw, tracks usa has a version that is punched for the center drive on the assault. Of course if you remove that center drive there is I think 2 or 3 more tracks that will fit as well. I believe all of them are paddle tracks made for the doo with no center drive.

I had a 1.5 ripsaw on my XC while it was still a 121. It got me places, but it trenched the whole way there. 1.75 would be better I think, but that's the nature of the ripsaw tracks.

Thanks for the feedback.

The profile of the 1.75 is a bit different than the 1.5 and looks to have more "paddle" to grab the powder. However, from the few photos out there on the net; it looks like a stiff track compared to the Backcountry or Challenger Extreme. I'm trying to confirm if it is or not as the other option is to trim the 2.4" Challenger extreme to a 2" profile and be done with it.

O ok, I have yet to look at the 1.75 version on the track. Sounds like they have improved it. The ripsaw is very stiff if that's what your looking for. Hooks up unreal on the trail.
