03 mountain cat 800 efi to 900

This sled is an 800 efi and I gave him my 04 900 with a bent rod and smashed case. He wants to put 900 jugs on the 800. What can he get away with for fueling. Would the old fuel map be enough for the 900 cylinder ?

From what I understand, you can bump the fuel pressure up, and that is enough, or you can get a boondocker box and up the fuel.

I think I saw someone else answer also, but will echo what they said. You can also get the 900 ECU and wiring harness. It will plug into the 800 stator, then everything will work like stock.

They're hard to come by sometimes though.
