Just came across this, it's been around for awhile, I hadn't seen it though.

After loading sleds onto my deck on some slick parking areas, I can see how useful one of these could be. However, they're about $95. It seems like I could make one myself for less and save some money for gas.

Anybody made something like this? Any pics or suggestions? Seems pretty basic.

Probably use some rope and some 1x1 for a deck pickets .. There can't be that much stress on it..

So I did some looking around, to replicate it I would need:

$20 for a swag tool @ Home Depot
$15 for wire rope
$25 for 8' of square 1" aluminum
$15 for carabiners
$20 for crimps and eyelets.

$95 Total. For materials. No labor.

Cut down about 2 foot section of track and attach about 3 foot of 3/8 ths chain through the windows with a snap hook on the ends. Done!
