Replacing Pull Start on 2013 XM

So, my pull start cord disappeared into the hole it it comes out of on my 2013 Summit SP, leaving me holding the handle. I'm not sure if the knot came undone, or the rope tore. I'm fairly mechanically inclined, but never performed the procedure. Is this something I should leave to the service department of the dealer, or is it a fairly straight forward procedure?

Also, anyone have any pointers to a tech manual?

Did this by chance happen right after you got the update done for the fuel pimp/nipple clearance issue? I think on a pull start sled they have to undoe the knot and remove the handle to put the new handle recess/cowling on and I bet the guy tied a ****ty knot. I would have the dealer repair it...

Crazy. I had this same problem this weekend. Went to start just after unloading. Rip the handle out of the cord... luckly we were still at the parking lot with tools.
Did they have to take pull cord off to do fuel recall?
