154 to 162 3" options

Thinking about buying a 13 Summit 800 sport 154 and going to a 16x162 3".
Figuring the smaller drivers will give clearance for the 3" paddles and also gear it down for the bigger and taller track. Would like to do it with the least amount of mods/money. Can I get by without adding a tunnel extension?
What options are there for extending the rails?

toss on the new 3 inch 156, will be out this summer

why wouldn't you buy a 163 to start with so you don't have to buy tunnel and rail extensions and then have cooling issues with a too short cooler?

I am considering a 163, but it is $3000 + more for a SP 163 than an 800 sport 154 and not sure I wanted the Etec and flex track. You can't get a 163 in a sport.
