Made it 5 miles down trail when display flashed "engine Knock" then "Rev Limit". I hit the kill switch and stopped. Checked sled over and found 2stroke oil dripping from under sled. Towed back to trailer and headed to dealer. Dealer found that both oiler lines to crank bearings had melted in half. Has anyone else experienced this? Sled had 279 miles when this occurred.

Oh man that blows!

...I would be interested to see if it was summerized... and where was it stored for the summer.

maybe something to do with the recall , and after the work was done not routing the oil lines correct?

I think that the Y pipe bolts came loose and the exhaust was blowing down on to the oiler lines. Isn't exhaust temp at the exit of the motor around 1500-1800 degrees F?

The whole motor would melt at those temps. Aluminum melts at 1225 degress.

The first revs had alot of Y bolts back out. I thought they had that figured out by now.

No the bolts won't melt the poly lines but the exhaust gas certainly will. Talked with another guy that just experienced the same thing last Saturday.
