Hey guys, new to the forum, but like what i see so far. Recently purchased an 07-M8 with a track thats trashed. Found a few different options for used tracks but unsure which would be the best option. Will be used for mountain riding.

option #1- 153x2.25 power claw off am 2010 HCR, 90dur? $650

option #2- 153x2.25 challenger of 08-M8, $500

option #3- 153x2.25 attack 20, $400

I know there are mixed opinions as I have read in some other threads but I can't seem to decide? Thx

You will likely get a variety of opinions. What type of mountain riding? Hill climbing? Powder meadows? Boondocking through the trees? Jumping? I like the Power Claw very much though in the 80 duro. If you're looking at used you should be able to find good A20s and Challengers for 50% to 70% of the price you've noted. Then it starts to become a little more of a $$ vs performance issue.

Where do you ride. those prices on used tracks are way to high, I might have a used PC but its a 162. sold stock challengers for around 350 almost new and seen A20's for about 200. I would definitely go with the PC.

$400 for an Attack 20 (and I'm a canuck too!) is way too much! Guys were practically giving them away a few years ago. They are decent if reversed and "straightened", but not at that price!

For general mountain riding I would try and find an 80 duro powerclaw over a 90 duro.

I doubt it, location is a big factor, if the snow is wet and heavy like on the west coast, then a CE or a PC depending on rider style, I would go pc either way, in the dry fluff 80 duro PC

Went with the pc-90dur. Figured it would hold up better ditchbanging around home & still do well in the mountains.

1. powerclaw
2. challenger
Avoid the A 20 at all costs. Terrible in anything but deep snow. Dangerous IMO.
I unloaded one nearly new for $400 a while back.
