2017 Models

I have been told from a very reliable source that a 174 will be available for 2017.
I find it funny how some guys seem to get upset about new things being offered. I don't want a 174 but I think it's a good thing that it's being offered.

A-arms with a new part number, but still look the same, 174" option, new spindles that not only hold up but change front geometry, new track that is every bit the same as the 2.6 but different compound and.....BNG's.

Plus....new snow bike with P-85.

I'm hoping for in season Std-AXYS 155 like the SKS with the front cooler but with the 2.6 track(non snowcheck)k.E-start optional.Corked hand warmers that actually work and a factory tether would be good.

A friend is putting a 174 by 3" track on his Axys this week. I have the 163 by 2.6" and I cannot really say that we have had snow conditions that warranted a 174" track and this has been a great snow year so far for us. He is running an SLP pipe and internal motor mods (porting and head I think). It will be interesting to see how it works. The Camoplast 174" track is a lot heavier than the Polaris Series 7 that he is taking off. I presume that a Polaris 174" track, if they make one, will be lighter than the Camoplast track.

And if they were to make a 174, I'd guess it would only be in 3" paddles.

A 174 don't interest me, but I would like to see a lighter factory can, a little stronger a- arms and the front cooler option on any sled whether it be a belt drive or chain case sled.

So far Polaris has done a pretty good job with a first year sled.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Polaris was just seeing how the Boondocker sidekick worked for them this year. Then did something like Yamaha did with Mpi? Unlikely but we can always hope!

I think it would be very difficult to get a 2 stroke turbo to pass emissions.... I don't think anything currently out there would even come close.

Also... not sure that Polaris would want to warranty an engine/chassis/drivetrain that they designed for 160hp...to have 200.... heck, most NA 800's have less than 130hp at altitude.

No way are we going to see a 2 stroke turbo coming from the factory. Silber turbos does have a super clean and easy to install kit though.

As we get closer, I still predict no 3" on the Quick Drive.
They might cave in on the 174", so why not make it a 3".
BNGs and some refinements.

MountainHorse. I agree with you on the emissions, but it's average right? Not one sled? I don't see it happening either. Just I think it would run through emissions if needed.
