ok

the 968 is a good ramp for 0-7000', 13-20 grams in pin, click 3-4...

967 for above, 17-18 grams, click 3...

I have an adjustable 968 (45-56 gr) coming to help ALL elevations...

ALL summits need #417127039 sec spring...

7900 rpm +-100...

run/tune to stock can first, ANY can that loses RPM is junk...BJ

Ok big John is there anything helping with belclutch and belt heat. Are you using that secondary spring for all elevations that's what's in mine for low. So just wondering when I go out west to 9500 ft to leave that spring. I now have 951 ramp and blue yellow in primary and clutch seems to run warm. RPM is pretty good.

yes

but keep your stock primary spring in for low/high...

use the 951 with 20 grams click 3-4 for low...

use 967 and 17-18 grams for up high...

I have adj pin kit to fine tune...

keep spring in secondary...

7900-8000 rpm -BJ

So keep the purple purple 417224165 the stock skidoo high elevation primary spring for high and low. Trying to do anything I can to drop temps. Exploded a belt at 165 miles.

Big John, I am somewhat confused. In one post you sat use 039 secondary spring and a few down you say keep secondary spring. DO you mean keep stock secondary spring or swap to the 039 and keep it for all elevations?

Also, i am 6'4" and 300lbs. Does weight of the rider need to be compensated fir the p drive weights? If so, what would you recommend?

Thank you!

I was answering a guy who had the low elevation kit, it comes with the right sec spring...

ALL summits need the 039 spring and more pin weight...

I have new adj weights coming that will be adding more tip weight to hold the belt...

I added 10 grams to eack pin to my stock high elevation 2.5" 165. Still over revving on clicker 1. Dealer recommended low elevation kit for all elevations.

Throw the stock high elevation weights in the trash. Get heavier over all weights.

Running an adjustable secondary helix.

Easily pulling 42 to 43 degrees of helix. Ran stock ramps, more weight on the bolt. And have also ran Big John's new ramps that are adjustable. Both work well up to 10,000+. Motor can pull hard, add weight till RPM's starts to fall. Set to desired elevation. I like to set RPM'S over 8,000 on the flats so it will pull down to 7900 t0 8000 on a pull up the hill.
Still fine tuning this season.

Answer to my own question- I can be done with the clutch on the sled. Just need a M5-.8 x50mm bolt. Im sure it could be done with 40mm as well.

Remove torx screw holding roller shaft in, thread in M5 bolt a ways, tap end of bolt to remove shaft that holds roller. Remove roller. Remove the pin in the ramp. Remove torx screw from the shaft that holds the ramp and clicker assembly, thread in M5 bolt a ways, tap end of bolt to remove shaft. Remove ramp and clicker assembly. Replace ramp, reverse above steps. Super easy.
