Issue with the Polaris IDD

Finished up an avi class and I wanted to share some information that was brought up. The GPS on the Polaris IDD will clash with an avalanche transceiver when the sled is running.

I'd test this one. I *can* interfere but in my experience it has to be within 12" of the device. Usually there is enough distance between the display and your beacon that it shouldn't be an issue...unless you are tragically buried on top of the thing while running (impossible).

Otherwise the only conflict could be searching for a downed rider while riding. Again, the distance between display and beacon should avert this issue.
