Hey Guys. I have a 2015 Pro-X 800 with 1700 miles. Sled runs perfect, but will randomly shut off. When it shuts off the engine light will flash and sled shuts down. If I cycle the kill switch I can keep it running and it will go right back to running fine. I thought it was the TSS, so I bought the delete resistor kit and that didn't seem to help. It will never die when I am on the throttle, seems to be when I am coasting to a stop or coming into a corner and off the throttle. Anyone have any ideas? I am hoping to make it to the dealer today to scan for fault codes.
I fought this all late season last year. It wound up being the coil packs. They would get warm and short out. The engine would die exactly like you re describing. I could cycle the key switch or kill switch and keep going.
Polaris put in an ECU, plugs, and wires and it was finally fixed after they swapped the coil packs (both).
EDIT: Should also note I swapped kill switches, teethers, installed (multiple) by-passes, went over my wiring harness end-to-end. Swapped all relays (multiple times).
The ECU wouldn't store a code until they swapped it, then it the code pointed to ignition disable (trying to find the code, will post if I can find it)
