just picked up sled for wife. Its in fantastic condition with 1200miles on it. Previous owner had an issue with clutching issues but said it ran great.

After removing the primary and cleaning belt residue and replacing spring thought I was in the clear. On first ride it has a brutal bog off idle and has be throttled up to get moving. Once moving it runs great but as soon as it stops its the same situation.

It has fresh premium fuel

New plugs gapped to spec

Fresh belt adjusted correctly

Good spark on both cylinders

I have not cleaned or adjusted carbs

NOW HERE IS POSSIBLY THE BAD PART - when I got it back in the garage I checked the plugs and they looked great, but.......compression test ran at 90psi on both cylinders with engine warm.

I will be checking with another gauge tomorrow but hope its really not that low

Any other ideas???????????????????

I don't know what the compression should be, but I'd pull the plugs and pipe and look at the pistons too.

One call to your local dealer and they can tell you what the compression spec should be.
