Anybody know where I can get just plain runner bars instead of the carbide wear bars

Anybody know where I can get just plain runner bars instead of the carbide wear bars for the 6.9 skis?

if you dont want the carbides all the runner really is is a piece of cold rolled with some allthread welded to it. if you can weld you can build a set for like ten bucks realy easy to do. ive made lot's, they dont grab hidden rocks and stumps near as bad as carbides do. good luck

what kind of grinding stone can grind off the carbide runner part, that stuff is fricken hard.

I got a set from our dealer here for my XP last year. They work great.

Be careful, they wear really fast. I ruined a set of skis because the blank steel went so fast. I like running without the carbides, just keep your eye on them. It is amazing the difference that little bit of carbide makes for wear. It is sure nice around the shop/driveway.

heat them up and melt the silver solder out, and knock the carbide out. carbide grinding stone for carbide.
