2005 550 engine in a 2004 550?

Will a 2005 Fan engine drop in a 2004 fan??
I either need a crank kit ( Where to get? ) or I can get an entire engine?? which would you do??

They are interchangeable.

If the 2005 had nikacil (spelling?) cylinders I would consider it a better engine than the non.

Both should have PERC capability with the flywheel, stator and oil pump.

I have the 550 in a 2002 and back fitted flywheel and oil pump to add PERC to it.
