I was curious if anyone uses a crank down spare tire holder like those used on trucks. I am trying to get the tire out of the inside of the trailer.

That could work. However, I have a Continental Cargo which has one of the shortest tongues made.

If its a V tongue, I know on my small cargo trailer, I can put the spare in the V standing on end against the front wall, I use a strap to keep it in place,, but a more permanent install probably should use a bolt system.

Did that come stock or did you install the holder ? If stock, what brand do you have ? I might go look at their set up.
