Stiff Throttle 03 MC 900

My thumb is getting tired. My throttle is stiff, stiffer than all my friends Mountain and King cats. I have heard of guys trimming their springs in their carburetors to help. Has anyone done this or know of a way to lighten up the throttle? Any help or suggestions?

A new cable does wonders, Also, if your buddies sleds are EFI you are never going to have a throttle pull as light as theirs. Those powermadd cable extensions also make the throttle pull very stiff. You should check the oil pump and make sure it moves freely, check the carbs also, make sure that they move freely (by hand of course, not by pulling the cable).
