I was wondering what some of you have for a rear shock absorber on your xtra-lite 144"...STOCK? Whoever had my sled before me installed a ryde-fx (hydraulic shock is what I wanna say cause it doesn't have the characteristics of a gas shock) and the bottom mount interferes with the coupling rod. I didn't notice that the shock was contacting and rubbing on the rod until it broke last season. Maybe also some pix might help if anyone has some. The sled is an '01 rmk 700 by the way, if that makes any difference.

I have a 2000 700 RMK 144. I am running a kimpex shock replacment shock and it also hits the coupling rod. When i noticed mine i was courious so i looked at some other sleds and its the same way

Well that's just stupid that if that's how it was designed. I wonder if you could put one rod on each side of the shock somehow. Hmmm now I'm confused.
