I like the DD, I had one in my rev and it held up great. I'm going to attempt building my own Nytro chassis this winter and I'm planning on using the entire BDX setup. Just got my spare bulkhead in the mail today :D

I like it because the entire setup is pretty light and very clean when installed. They really aren't that expensive, the BDX lightweight gearcase with whatever gears you want is around $600. For me, it's makes building a sled from scratch a lot easier, espcially since the Nytro does not have a removeable chaincase to start with(not to say you couldn't use another brands)

question is can it handle the torque of a turbo nytro? big differnce in torque between an m or even turbo m and a nytro/tnytro.

It probably saves at least 10 pounds. You should talk to BDX they had a nytro in there shop at the end of last year and had it totally torn down and they said they were going to put a DD in it. The only bad part about it is you loose your reverse:(

I've heard of them blowing up in piped Cats so I'd be leery of the turbo and one. Is that RMI drive still around and is it an option?

I think the way they have the two bulkhead pieces with just the chain case cover and the way the drive shaft drops out the bottom is slick.....plus the way the tunnel attaches....why re invent the wheel here it works and is about a simple as it gets!

with loosing the jackshaft, having the disc brake on the trackshaft, you loose some weight and you also gain a lot of space! Space to make the whole sled more compact, more dense, more centralized.

Loosing reverse though.. that is a heavy price to pay, for me anyways.

Never thought of that, definately addicted to reverse.

A few pics of the one I had in my rev. This was about 4 years ago and the DD was an older unit out of a ZR900.
