Primary hotter than secondary???

Can someone remind me what it means when your primary is warmer/hotter than your seconday? I know I've read about this before but can't find the discussion.

After a long hard pull(s) the primary is pretty hot to the touch and the secondary is just warm.

What does this mean in the clutching world? RPMs are pretty much where they should be - 7,500 on a fairly heavily modded 05 KK EFI (single pipe).

Thanks in advance for any help.

The primary does run hotter than the secondary because of the heat of the crankshaft soaking into it and it is turning faster than the secondary. If it is so hot it is causing belt problems you can throw a little more weight into it and then have to adjust the secondary to shift down a little sooner to keep the R's up.
