new product sneak peak

I LOVE my hood for the XM! Between hood and can, it shed 25ish pounds. Belt lasted 1300 miles, and not because it was blown!

...bottom line, lose 25 lbs for 1000 bucks. Good products, great company.

Had one on the XM super tough stuff and they do not let snow in but keep everything nice and cool. even going through the tight woods where you bust of dead branches I never ripped it even though it scratched the heck out of the sidepannels. Just got my Yellow one has the yellow bottom and looks even nicer than the straight black. Will probably mount it next week.

Do these hoods let any snow through? How do they hold up to a tree limb?

I had one on my Pro RMK in 2013 and had to take the hood off after less than 15 minutes of deep dry december powder. There was a huge amount of snow under the hood, and the filter I had to rig up for the intake (since they provide nothing) was so caked with snow the sled would barely run. Went back to the trailer and put the stocker back on.

Hopefully the mesh has changed since.

Never had a problem on my XM. They also sell a pre filter that goes on the intake. Over 1300 miles on mine. No peoblems. Perhaps you didn't have yours installed properly on your Pro.

It was definitely installed correctly, fit pretty good for an aftermarket part too, and the frame seemed pretty stout. It was from the very first run of Pro hoods, before they did the style with the gauge mount. Glad to hear they included a prefilter with the XM hoods, I am sure they will do the same with the Gen4.
