I have been wanting to build myself a rack to hold an extra gas can for a long time. Most of the guys I ride with have extra cans on their sleds and I will usually have to bum gas from someone so that I don't run out. I toyed around with a bunch of different ideas on how to build it, but I settled on this one, and it works great! I field tested it last weekend, ran through my entire tank, and almost all of the extra can. It never moved an inch and none of the bolts ever came loose. Here are some pics.

Hey where can someone buy a tie down like the one you have holding your gas can.

The straps came with the can and the metal clips came from Lowe's.

tail light

what do u do for a tail light now? We have upgraded one 800 to a 12 gal tank but is very expensive and don't fit as nice as 8gal either

Planning on using an LED strip for the tail. Haven't put it on yet though.
