Need to know what works best for replacement pistons and rings on a '08 M8?
It has 3500 kms on it and I have the time before next winter comes. Wiseco? OEM? Anyone with any ideas or experience?

Is your comp. down now?
Cat motors go an easy 5000 kms before rebuilds.
But hands down OEM pistons are the best for the cat motor.
I would wait until 5000 kms and then do new seals too.

No not yet. Just doing this as a preventative measure. I rode skidoo for the past 10 years and for a machine with 3500kms with no engine work is like a catastrophe waiting to happen. Is it a different story with Arctic Cat?

i would replace them. stick with oe cat pistons. it will give you peace of mind too. i have worked on cats at 2000 miles with tiny hairline cracks on the piston skirts. ya some guys would probably push it a lot longer but i like to just ride without being paranoid that a skirt is going to break off.
