Hello, first time poster and my first season sledding so be gentle.
I'm riding a phazer 07 all is good except for the steering.
There's about 15-20 degrees of deadspace play in the steering. I know this is too much as I've used other phazer 07s and they have far less play. I'm over compensating and flailing a bit when I ride.
When twisting the column, at the point of transfer onto the 'steering arms', even though its hidden in the case, it looks like theres something loose/broken. Its been suggested that some of the bushings have failed but are being held in place by the case. The Steering arms don't look rigit when I twist and have a slight lateral movement to them.
Additionally, there's a bit a forward and back play on the handlebars but I've been told that just needs a nut tightening...
1) Can anyone shed any light on this problem?
2) Is it difficult to access that steering transfer point to repair?
