ZX electrical issue

Just droped a brand new Motor in my Son's 2003 800HO. Motor Runs perfect but no Lights or Gauge's

I have checked and recheck all wires,and conections. No power anywhere.
any suggestions ?

did you check to see if you mag is putting out power? did everything work before the new engine?

the gauges and lights worked prior to the motor failer, There had been an intermitent problem related to a loose wire in the connection between the hood and main harness.I just check the voltage regulator buy disconetting the red and Black wire harness.The motor will not start.
But I dont know if the Voltage reg can be faulty and the motor still run?

check the relay

This is a common problem, check the relay, replace it with one from a parts store the BRP ones are spendy.

YahooSkidoo, You nailed it, It was the relay, Thanks alot. The scary part is i have 6 of these relays in my Shop.

Relay is reveted to the top of the right Foot Hold. There should be a couple of 20Amp fuse holders right beside it.

About trhe only thing not being used on my kids sled is an extra Light weight Hood and the Stock ZX seat. I think there might be a good 800 Jug on the shelf somewhere.

I trimmed the herd this season, My Son is the onlyone interested in Sleddn with the oldman this year.

So just the XP and the 860 ZX.
