Any issues - 08 RMK 600??

Owned a 98 RMK 700 for 3-4 years and never had a single issue with it. Looking at a used 2008 RMK 600 with minimal miles on it and it is fully stock. These newer 600's seems like they have a similar track record - is this correct?
Any maintenance needs/issues on these newer sleds? Not planning on any mods other than maybe pipe/can.
thanks for the advice

600s and down have always been bulletproof from polaris. I cannot think of a single platform in which the polaris did not have solid 600 and lower engines.

But to answer your question i own a 09 600 and its never given me issues

I think the Polaris 600's are the best of all the manufacturer's. We did rent a 2006 (same motor as 2007) and it was difficult to start at times. It is carbed, so somewhat typical. There's not much bad to say about that motor.

There the best 600 motor in the biz. Powerful, quick, light, and easy to mod. I had an 06 (same motor, carb) and it was a sweet sled. YOu can't go wrong. If its a carb one you get, make sure you jet properly. I ran at 8-10k feet and would run 260-270 jets. (if they still make the carb model?)

Love mine. The only issue I had was a short in the wiring harnes which caused a bunch of electrical components to fail. All fixed under warranty.

Replace the suitcase exhaust with a can, remove a bunch of underhood foam, put some scratchers on and remove some idlers and you're good to go.
The 08 with 4 injectors is a litttle harder on fuel than the 09's which came with 2. Otherwise simialr sled and again no changes from 09 to 10 models except for decals and price. Solid sleds.

Love both of mine. Only problem I've had was a couple torn carb boots after 5500 miles which caused the pistons to blow, covered under warranty though.

SLP pipe/can, clutch it and enjoy.

Love my 007 RMK 600, no issues as far as reliability. Had a coolant hose that had rubbed up against the motor strap, but caught it and fixed it before anything serious happened. 5200 miles on it so far.

I've tryed the 07 600 DRMK and must say it's a bulletproof sled, only difference between the 600 an my 700 is the wery top end power, but to be honest it didn't bother me at all.
Go buy one! You won't be disappointed:beer;:D

I too have an 07 600 155 HO RMK, with carbs. 4K miles. Great sled. I did get too much heat on the exhast side and melted some things. I vented both sides fore and aft and have had no more issues.

Done!

Thanks for confirming my thoughts. Deposit on a 08 600 155" has been made and I'll go pick it up early next month. Just over 60 hrs and 1000 miles on the clock. Unbelievably clean - can hardly tell it even was even ridden.
