so i just put a new track on my 2004 summit 800 159". the bearing in the chaincase behind the large drive sprocket i remember being sealed side out (towards the gear). but it only makes sense to have it sealed side in (towards the track) because the oil from the chaincase wouldnt get to it otherwise

???????????????any help would be a lifesaver??????????????

The theory is....it still gets enough oil through the seal and keeps out the grit from chain/gear wear so the bearing lasts longer. It CAN be done either way, but this is how Doo does it.
