Best friend

Excellent shape,,
One of our Golden's was completely set off at a friend's house.
He hunts in other countries where they use formaldehyde and that dog wouldn't go near anything, not sure if it was the chemical or death present in the mount.

Here is Misty all grownup.
Today we did our last training on our two homers. We won’t have any puppies around for a while so we did a final training run, and she was able to put those two rascals of pigeons in her mouth that I was never able to hit before today.
Pic from today’s training.

She has quite a bit different personality than her mother. Together with her mother they patrol our home site for rodents. Pack rats have been high in numbers in resent years, and there is always chipmunks. Here’s a pic of the mother, daughter combo and a chipmunk up a tree. Their personalities are as different as their looks.

Recently lost our big shepherd cross after 12 great years. Had her through having kids, getting married, few jobs, few houses....definitely felt that one to say the least. Amazing dog, and just perfect for our lifestyle...mellow but guard dog around the house, great with the kids, kept watch when you're camping in the bush, would ride in anything or go anywhere with you. Going to be tough to get another....wish I could have kept this one forever.

Thanks man, appreciate it...it was a really tough go for me and the wife...just tore us up as I'm sure any of you who've been through the same know. Only consolation is, I think she had an awesome life, and I don't think we could have done much more with her....that dog went everywhere!

She had a Dog's life 😊

I can't be without one.

The one we have now is the Grandson nothing like his Grandpa, wouldn't trade one for the other.

It's actually fun comparing and it wouldn't matter if they were two completely different breeds, they are nothing alike.

It takes time to get past the loss unless your a person that has the mind set of some other purpose for them.

Try to keep an open mind, they weren't meant to outlive us.

I always liked Rotties but for the work I do most customers would think they get mailed or something stupid.

Boys also get a bad wrap, they are extremely loyal and actually not likely to retaliate as fast over something silly. They listen, so some of those boy habits are controllable.

It'll be your guys call, maybe, maybe not. Try to keep an open mind and not lock it up

They are no different then a true friend, rare 😀
