YAKIMA SKI-BENDER FRIENDS!!!!!
Greetings fellow Ski-Benders! Just a reminder that our annual clean up and BBQ is fast approaching and will be held on Saturday June 27th and Sunday June 28th. We will meet in the 'Old' Ahtanum snowpark on Saturday morning at around 9am and head out on the trails around 10 or so after we get some groups put together. After returning from the trails we'll have a pot-luck dinner around 5pm or so and the Ski-Benders will provide steak for all... all you need to bring is a side dish to share, a chair, and your beverage of choice (BYOB). Everyone is invited, but we need an accurate head count, please RSVP so that we know how many steaks to buy. Depending on the condition of the trails and any projects that the DNR might have, I'm sure there will be more to do on Sunday as well. This is a great opportunity to volunteer and help out those who cater to our needs in the winter time and continue to strengthen our relationship as stewards of our public lands. Remember that A VALID DISCOVER PASS IS REQUIRED for DNR lands.
There will be 3 - $25 gift certificates for the Power House Grill that will be given away to those in attendance at the dinner on Saturday night.
If you have a quad, side by side, or similar to bring along for the clean up, by all means bring it, I'm sure after the work is done there may be some looking to go out again for a joy-ride. Some members I'm sure will be getting up there Friday night to reserve a camping area and will be staying through Sunday afternoon...
Special note: The 50th Anniversary portion of the event has been postponed until winter time via a vote of the Board, this will only be the annual clean-up as has happened in years past.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from all of you!

The folks at the DNR are always very appreciative of our efforts to help maintain our public lands and trails, and it's another great reason to get out in the forest with friends and sledders!
