Wow... Look at this guy rip the 850!!!

The engine sports some new tech, the rest is just more of the same mediocre incremental bandaids they have been putting out for seven years now. If they ever move away from the dildo equipped wide rear suspension and other design flaws, I'll take a serious look at a Skud, until then they will never garner any interest from me. The gay idiots they have hired for their promotion people definitely do not help them in the sales and marketing department, IMO. Probably the French /Canadian influence finally coming to the surface after too many years in the closet.

Polaris and cat haven't brought new "tech" to the table for quite some time. All they've been doing is incremental improvements as well. Doo is at least bringing it in the engine department. Poo still has the widest stance in the industry. Talk about not being willing to progress. Ya,ya,ya. We all know the axys is the "greatest" thing ever built in some people's minds.

This new chassis from Doo is just that, a new chassis. It handles a lot better than the Xm. And it will be a strong contender for the top of the mountain.

True enough. Definitely the ugliest sled on the snow too.

But, be careful now . . .rulonjj will give you a bad rating (like he did me) if you talk down about the new doo doo..... LOL

BTW...I gave you a thumbs up to balance out the negative rep from someone :)

Without Polaris proving the value of a rigid chassis made from castings and glued together. The new G4 chassis would not exist. You can give me a bad rep all you want, but that does not change the facts. Bury your head in the snow and pretend your brand is the best if you want. Giving me a bad rep will not change a thing, it just proves your a immature little b!tch that likes throwing a temper tantrum when others disagree with you and you can't take it. Grow the F___ Up!

I see it bothers you. Haha. Good for you. Thanks for letting me know I'm right.

I ride Polaris as well so ya, I have the best of both worlds. Poo has one approach to a mountain sled, Doo has another, and they both work very well. You guys that don't ride Doo come in the Doo section and sling your bs around. What do you expect? Everyone to cheer you on? Lmao. I give you and saddle bags a bad rep mostly because I know it gets under your skin. Get over your ego and go back to your sweet little corner where a bad rep don't sting so bad. :face-icon-small-hap Maybe on your way take a unbiased look at another brand of sled. It may surprise you how good they are.

All one has to do is look at which which 2 sled brands dominate snowcross & hill climb events.

You also claim the 2017 Doo has "a new chassis" I suggest you take a closer look the rear skid on the 2017 remains unchanged .... As far as I'm concerned the 2017 Summit has a new motor, new clutch and narrower ski stance, PERIOD

You should add T-motion to your Polaris you can call it a Doolaris

You are such a Chris Burandt fan im surprised your not riding a Polaris ... Or should I say why is your idol Chris not riding a Doo.

Haha. I'm not a fan of anyone in particular. I have mentioned Chris two or three times but I didn't like him that well when I met him.

As far as the G4 goes the only thing that is the same as the Xm is the skid.

Everything else is changed. The changes are similar to what poo did between the pro and the Axys. I am a little Doo loyal because I've had good success with them in the durability department but my pro is a funner sled in the deep powder.

I find it not surprising at all that rullonj or whatever is a doo Tard. Doo is doing some good things right now, Cause they have to , cause they're playing catch up , badly.

It only took Doo a few decades to come out with a new clutch. Maybe in my lifetime they will get rid of those junk $49.95 HPG shocks ... At least Poo & Cat have decent shocks right out of the box.

Ski-Doo's marketing representives hurt the company? How can any of you make these claims when Ski-Doo outsells Polaris, Arctic Cat, and Yamaha repeatedly. Recently year after year. You still have no argument here. Their engineers are bad? Okay, although they are the ones who engineer the best selling sleds.

To all you forum trolls, can you explain how Ski-Doo is managing to outsell every other manufacturer? Please, I'm waiting for your answer.

The main reason Polaris axys 155 was the best selling sled in 2015, model year 2016, is simply because Ski-Doo didn't release anything new. Poo had the best selling sled but still wasn't best selling manufacturer in the market.

Guess what 2017 is here and Ski-Doo released the Kracken. Who do you think is gonna sell the most sleds again this year? Please don't make me answer that for you.

I'll slightly admit Ski-Doo is playing catch up in the "mountain" with regards to chassis refinements. And I see it only took them one year. Where it took Polaris 8 years to bring out Pro chassis to enter the rider forward age.

With regards to motors. Sorry but nobody has even figured out direct injection besides who? Ski-Doo. They are on their 2nd gen of direct injection and the rest haven't even started. While maybe other manufacturers efficiencies are nearly equivalent they still don't have the nice features like the ease of summarization. Small things like that is what sets Doos motors apart from the competition.

Not even counting the new technology in the 850 other manufacturers are just catching up to the 800etec.

Don't even get me started on fit and finish.

There is no argument here sorry.

By any chance, do you ride a Ski-Doo? (sarcasm)

Well I did too for over 30 years and they were very good sleds but I found they held me back in the extremely technical terrain. I am a much better rider today because I swallowed my pride and switched brands. I had to throw away all the good points you made above and had to settle for some second place features in order to be a better rider having much more fun. What is most important in the long run? Many of the points you make for the Doo are also true for Yamaha. Maybe you should switch to Yamaha because after all they have more power than the 850 (turbo version coming), they have great fit and finish and you don't even need to summerize those motors. It's not all about who has the best sled on paper. Fun factor has to be a huge consideration.

I agree and I admitted Doo is slightly playing catchup in the mountains with regard to fun factor. Not motor, fit and finish, or just general technology. Width of sled seems to be the only problem. Not so much anymore. (2017)

I haven't ridden one but from what I've seen I think the new 850 Doo aids in the fun factor. If true they would no longer be playing catch up.

Our group rode 850 for a day in good steep terrain and I was pleased with the improvements over the xm, not fully satisfied but close. Still not sold over the axys though. doo is closing the gap.... Motor is strong too

Not like:
I'm not a fan of the steering geometry vs axys it's at angle where axys is not. Also they did narrow the front up more but should coulda continued to maybe raise it... It's still a bit over weight and not near as nimble as my axys. And once again the t motion is a thing me and many others can't overlook. There's a reason big time riders swap to e motion or k mod k motion. It's not as washy In the rear end on steep steep side hills as a xm but it's not fully fixed nor will it be w t motion at play. Neither company produces great shocks my walker Evans clickers are on stiffest setting and I bottom them constantly.( I just get after markets any ways)
Like:
The power felt great and they moved motor back in chassis some it seems. The new running boards seem good to. Love the 3" track from when I rode it. I think doo has the 3" game figured w all the t 3 they made.
thats only my two cents I'm not a brand loyal guy I've owned doo and Polaris back and fourth for years. 3 -4 guys in my group making swap from doo to axys this season coming

Thank you for the honest opinion. Snochecked a new doo as I just was not comfortable on the 16 axys I rode. Wish I could of tested a new doo! But I think now days all the sleds are pretty damn good whether people wanna admit it or not. We have started complaining about minor issues and comfort.
