Which oil to use?

I know this has come up before but can I get away from the expensive cat synthetic oil on my 2012 Proclimb? $50/gallon! Can I use Amsoil or Polaris synthetic oil which is cheaper? I'm open to other suggested oils as well.

There might be a thread or 2 about this. Just do a quick search and you can read until your hearts content.

Run which ever you want in it and it will be fine. You are not going to see significant performance gain or loss with which ever you choose. You cant go wrong with Amsoil.

I have used Maxima Tundra semi Synthetic for the last 3 years with awesome results on my 14 M8000.

mystik sea & snow

me to from about 03 to now no issues . I spend on a season of oil what some guys spend for a weekend.
got 2 cases for 55 bucks after rebate and sale in November. that nasty smell is just the extra cash burning a hole in your pocket

Personally I have run Amsoil Interceptor in both my Proclimbs, my 13' had it in since day 1. I ran it to 1300miles and pulled the pipe and y pipe for a buyer of sled and Pistons looked immaculate and compression was right on the money, both jugs within 1 psi of each other.

Talked to him the other day and he now has over 3200 miles on sled and used Interceptor since he bought it from me, not one issue.

I use Dominator in my race KTM 300 since day 1, running 50/50 100LL av has, ran it HARD for 100 hours including 25 of those hours in Oregon sand dunes. Pulled the jug to replace piston and piston is within 0.001" of brand new spec!!! I said screw it and and just put a set of rings in it. Bike has SX base gasket, SXS head, SX ignition. Hauls royal *** and resides in the gnarliest riding BC has to offer.

Klotz has been awesome. It's a touch thicker than the apv. We did a comparison in 2011apv vs Klotz. Apv the sled ran about 28:1. Switched to Klotz and sled ran 38:1. Klotz runs really smooth, never get a bog and the per valves are quite clean.

The Klotz smells awesome too.

Mystik SS, and arctic blue for me. My fathers xf8k has around 3k miles of flawless operation on arctic blue, i have a ton of miles with it. Ive also ran mystik for the last 7-8 years in sleds and had no issues. Going to be running it in my new high country.
