Where Is the best off trail riding in the blackhills

i don't think many people are willing to reveal their secret spots :D but if you follow the service roads you can generally find some nice powder

13 miles east of sturgis, then 4.5 miles north, then 2.856 miles south. Pack lunch and gas.:D:D

Custer.... Yeah, that's it. Then, trailer up to Custer Crossing campground and ride from there.:beer;

If you want city Spearfish. Or you could stay at Lead, Deadwood it don't matter but i would trailer your sleds to trailshead. You could stay there also

Not only is the parking lot the best riding haha.......but it is also the most adventure filled(dangerous!)

i know the past few years we have stayed in lead or deadwood.... you may have a longer distance to go to get into the trails.. but who wants to ride them anyway... and stayin in deadwood we had some great food for supper... and probably the best riding i found last year was on the powerlines... we ran into a couple spots where we had to turn around and find a trail.. but overall the powerline riding was great

When u look at the map theres little stick prople with skis and poles and it seems to always be fresh snow :}

Been there done that....no wonder the snow was so nice...why do 20 skiiers need thousands of acres? Oh wait they are "Environmentally Sensitive" because they drive a Subaru....never mind the Huge house, Mercedes Benz, and all their air travel....Glad they are doing their part to reduce their "Carbon Footprint"...ok rant over!!
