What's the best town to live in for riding?

either Sicamous or Pemberton, Sicamous because it has similar riding and powder to revelstoke, but way less people. Pemberton because your 30 min away from snowmobiling on top of the world on wide open glaciers, pick a direction and go! luckily I am close to both :p

I admit though, I have never been to Alaska, Montana, Utah or any of the other states with good powder, so I am a bit biased I guess.

No where in Utah. It's terrible here, no good places to live to be able to ride.

Farmington NM , very close to some of the best snow/riding areas in CO. or anywhere else for the matter, hardly any trails to ride and very few people "EVER" . all this and I maybe shovel the drivway one time a year . And thats just so I can say I did.

Yea, you don't want to live in central Oregon either. The Cascade mountains are terrible riding. The snow is so deep you have a hard time getting through it!

Oddly enough, just to be different, probably Mackenzie, BC. Nice, out of the way small town, and pretty close to some really great riding. Did I mention no crowds?

i live in loan, ut and its great up here. i think alpine, wy would be great u can literall ride from ur house/cabin to the mountains great ridng

I'd live in Cooke City, MT, I haven't even been there but I hear that its better riding than West Yellowstone and just over a 100 people live there, awesome!

Don't bother with anything in Colorado. It's terrible up here. Hasn't snowed in years and you have to ride on the groomed trails.

Bozeman, MT

I am amazed how long this went without Bozeman, MT coming up. 15 minutes to decent riding, 45 minutes to great riding, 60 minutes to incredible riding. A little over an hour from West Yellowstone and all the riding that has to offer and less than two hours to Island Park, great place for family rides. 3 hours to Cooke City. On top of all that, there is a ton of other riding close by, those are just the places I have been and I live in Billings.

For riding out of your house, yeah Cooke City is nice. But way overcrowded now.
