Has anlyone had the torque control link crack in the middle? Mine just cracked in half. 2016 M8 with 3000 miles. Not sure what would cause that to happen?

Yes, they all crack. I replaced mine with the Alpha torq arm. If you do this you will need the jack shaft alpha bearing holder as it’s only a 4 bolt pattern.

Common issue, I would try to get the Carbon fiber one (21and 22) but if its not available the metal one from the 20 Alpha should work. Also what Artic Cat said about the bearing holder.

The driven shaft are different part number from my 2016 to the newer 2021/2022 shaft. Does anyone know if I would need to get the newer shaft to use the newer style carbon fiber torque link?

You should just have to get the bearing retainer. The number change is due to a different size shaft and gear in the chain case. If you were to buy the shaft you would need the gear also.

Does anyone have any advice on how to get the jackshaft bearing off? Do I need to take the entire shaft out and press it off? Thanks in advance.

It is a press fit. I've had the jackshaft out with it every time I've had to take a TCL out of a sled. Might be able to get it off with a two or three jaw puller. Just make sure to protect the threads in the end of the jackshaft.

I’ve used an old split race for a punch and tap, roll 180, tap, repeat with success more often than not.

Only tap inner race.

Just replaced my TCL on my 2013. Cracked 2/3 of the way thru, like they do. I went with the stock aluminum one, a simple job and direct bolt-on once the clutches are pulled. There are a couple of You-tube videos worth looking at prior to doing the job. I thought about updating the jackshaft and bearing while I was in there, but decided to let it ride since its been OK for 6200 miles, more than half of that as a 925. Famous last words!
