Togwotee Riding Conditions???

What’s the snow like? Is it worth riding Togwotee or should I wait for more snow?

There is a ok base. Haven’t received any new snow in over 2 weeks. I would wait unless its a close drive.

Been here all week. Pretty tracked up and set up. There are still untracked spots to be found.

Not trying to discourage you from afar, but 35 at Tog and Brooks Lake is about as thin as it gets in the back half of Jan., and been that way for a couple weeks. Still better than a good day at work. Good luck.

Surprisingly still finding untracked and light snow with some searching in Togwotee Pass area. Here is a forecast for some Snow on Monday:

Trend For Monday, January 31, 2022 AND Tuesday, February 01, 2022​

A weather system will move into the area Monday and Tuesday. At this point, snowfall amounts look to be light and the avalanche hazard should remain Low.

Just came home 4 days early from Lava Mountain. It beat the the view from my couch but ran into sled issues and the conditions didn’t justify renting.

Had a few inches of snow snow on Monday but need about a week and a half of days like that for it to get interesting. In regards to "conditions didn’t justify renting" with the price of renting a sled these days (big bucks) it would take about 3 ft or more of fresh powder before I would consider breaking out my wallet
