Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, the judicial standard-bearer of the conservative movement and the court's most provocative individual rights member, died Saturday 13 Feb . He was 79.

Justice Scalia was an advocate for the 2nd amendment , individual rights , and rights to use the land.

God rest his soul and have mercy on our unalienable rights ... May God help us.

...for those who believe in the innate wisdom of the original constitution, this is indeed a sad day..

Ronald Reagan appointed him back in the 1980's and his legal opinions as a Supreme Court Justice has helped keep our riding spaces open.

For the past 40 years the Supreme Court Justices MAJORITY often vote 5 for and 4 against allowing us to ride.

So now one of the 5 who was an advocate for us to ride has died.

Indeed it is. It'll be interesting to watch how the selection of a new justice plays out. The senate could very well choose not to not confirm anyone that Obama nominates and bide their time until after the election and seating of the new president. If a conservative is seated in the White House, then there is hope for our rights; however, if that crackpot Bernie Sanders is somehow elected, well may God help us!
