Spark Plug Electrodes Melted Away

I am wondering if anyone knows what possibly could have happened to both spark plug electrodes burned off at the same instance? They are in a 02 Polaris 700 stock engine with stock 500 jets. It was warm out at about 35 degree temp. I had was running about 50mph and just opened the throttle for about 1000ft and sled shut down. Pulled the plugs and both electrodes gone right to the threads. Also, they weren't white tipped and seemed to be about the right color, tan to chocolate brown. Put two new plugs in and it started right up and ran fine afterward. Came home, checked compression and still about 150lbs per cylinder? Possibly cdi glitch of some sort? Thanks for info

Usually when you burn electrodes or the ground strap on a set of plugs- its wicked lean and is either detonating or on the verge of detonating. Its possible the CDI tweaked-out for some reason or the fuel pump had an issue and it sucked the bowls dry.
