snow check choices

I also went with 3 year warranty and in my book e start is a must. I worried about no pull start on my first e start sled, since then it's been a nonissue.

E-start and add pull start... adding a pull start backup is way cheaper than adding elec. start after the fact..Warranty items would usually break within the first 3 years and during those 3 years you can still add extra warranty if you want.

My dealer assured me the pull start system (handle included )comes standard on the summit with the e start factory installed...the side panel doesn't have the cut out so to use it you must open the panel...

weight of pull start?

Does anyone have a real figure on the additional weight that is added with the e-start package? Would really like to know what the starter and battery weigh. Thanks all.

Do the 17's e-starts come with a pull rope included? I heard the pull ropes were not included on the e-starts after I bought it. I have seen every e-start on a sled fail and I don't want to get stranded

If you order your spring check with e-start it does not come with a pull cord, mine e-starts have never failed in 5 years. Weight is about 18 pounds, battery weights 14 pounds, you won't even feel the 18 pounds, but if you do in your head a lithium battery is 3.1 pounds. Cheers dave

Dave, can you delete those weight numbers ??? Because anything having to do with weight makes the skidoo guys go bonkers and the Polaris guys say "I Told You So ".

You can add a pull rope for an additional $140.00 when you snow check your sled, that's the route I went. I also went with the 165" track, just because being 6' 4" 240lbs I want more floatation.........

Dave, can you confirm something else? My riding buddy and I both snowchecked the orange crush 165 w/e-start. He is also looking to add the BRP GPS option. Somewhere he was told that the kit had a mount for the Zuma 590, but no power harness (battery only). So he contacted BRP, who said "unfortunately the is no direct connection", which was odd but kinda confirmed what he'd seen elsewhere.
However, the 590 from Garmin direct includes a mount with a power harness, as did the Montana setup offered by BRP for the XM.
So can you confirm how the GPS mounts to the glove box extension? Does it have a power supply harness/mount?
