We just made reservations for next weekend, but weather looks like we'll be playing in the trees with all of the snow in the forecast. At least it's suppose to be warmer by then.

the snow is minimal @ best...that being said there was 6 of us for 3 days & no stumps or rocks were hit. If i was really "itching" to go I would go. We played in the trees a lot & there is some very good snow in places. Was better tan I had expected with 7 steps showing at the cabin...

Rode Revy Monday and rode Golden Tuesday, found good snow both days, had to go looking tho. Snow levels way too low for this time of year, must be down at least 6 ft. We hit tons of rocks, one bent a-arm, one bent shock.

Boulder Tuesday... nice visibility, but a little nippy yet, and not alot of snow.
7 steps to the cabin, and it looked like the groomer had hit the whole hill when it did the trail... that's how tracked out it was.

Over night, it snowed about 3 inches in town, but socked in like a bugger come morning.

Debated going to Quartz on the way home, but decided to stay and ride Boulder again.
Trail was groomed, with about 6 inches on top all the way up, where the small "dump" turned into a skiff at the "chalet". Never attempted to get up to the 6400 foot sign, but rather played in the trees, and managed to find ourselves a decent sized section with about 3-4 feet all over.... Just enough to get buddie's MCX-nytro augered in a few times.

I laugh when people say bad or marginal snow. We rode fresh all day. Crossed tracks but not many. Get off the beaten path it was good. Quartz was pounded!!
Can't wait until the 27.

The snow level is way down everywhere this year.....Ive had so many buddies do tons of damage to their rides this year..theres some pow but with no base....landmines everywhere

I'll take a look at the grin on your face when you go sidehilling across a face and wack into a 12 ton boulder hidden 3 inches just below the snow.

Levels are down about 5 feet or more, compared to this time last year.

You may be riding fresh.... but I can ride fresh to.... it's in my front yard... no tracks, but doesn't mean there's lots of snow to cover up things that will ruin your day.

The way this year is going there might be 8' of base by then I guess we're just being punished for the last two years when ther was 6' of wet snow in town by christmas.

Beacons - everyone in your group and know how to use them.
GPS - In case the weather turns as it often can.
Phone - And have heli number on hand in case of trouble [250-837-2455].
That would be the very min.
You will love it. Especially if the weather is good
